HAPPY HULAWEEN!

2010-10-30
String Cheese Incident - Hampton Coliseum - Hampton, VA

HULAWEEN on MISCHIEF NIGHT!
After a 5 hour drive we finally made it to the mother ship, where we were beamed up and lifted into a 4 hour psychadelic rage fest.

The parking lot was full of headie people ready for the show! Everyone had such great costumes!
String Cheese Incident took the stage after a huge screen was raised with a giant pumpkin on it.
It was amazing seeing the the guys for the first time! A great show to pick for my first cheese experience!
The best part of the night was set 2 for their halloween set! It was an amazing choice of covers with help from Liza Oxnard and yours and my favorite Special Surprise Guest Keller Williams!!! Keller took the lead of the band just like when they performed as The Keller Williams Incident! He even used this weird device to make crazy sounds!

The show was amazing! Everyone was in costumes there were glow stick thrown everywhere and the light show was out of this world!

FIRST NIGHT A.C. RUN

2010-10-29
Phish - Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City, NJ

Phish played a 3 night run in A.C. for Halloween!
Tonight was also my brothers birthday so I go to spend his Birthday in A.C. just like when he came with me for Umphrey's in A.C. back in August.

We set ourselves up on the floor and were ready for the night to begin.

Trey, Mike, Jon, and Page took the stage and walked right up to stage right and started to sing the Star Spangled Banner. Everyone removed their hats and joined in. They then went on to perform an amazing show.

The highlight for the show was when they sang 'Cities' a Talking Heads cover and when they opened the second set with 'Punch You In The Eye.' We also cant forget the famous Rolling Stones, 'Loving Cup' as an Encore.

Set 1: The Star Spangled Banner, My Soul, AC/DC Bag, Ocelot, Sample in a Jar, Light Up Or Leave Me Alone, Sugar Shack, Timber (Jerry) > Bouncing Around the Room, Axilla > Rift, The Moma Dance> Cities > 46 Days

Set 2: Punch You In the Eye > Sand -> Carini > Prince Caspian, Corinna, Piper > Theme From the Bottom > Golgi Apparatus > Slave to the Traffic Light > Fluffhead

Encore: Loving Cup

Notes: Caspian was unfinished. A brief When the Circus Comes tease preceded Corinna.

The Show was amazing and since it was the 3 day Halloween run to end the Fall tour, people dressed up and there were hundreds of glow sticks thrown around and confetti fell from the ceiling. Most of we cannot forget the amazing light show that was put on to go behind Trey's amazing guitar!

A Night in Yonder

Yonder Mountain String Band
2010-10-22 - Best Buy Theatre

Yonder performed at which was originally Nokia Theatre but now purchased by Best Buy. Although a name change still one of my favorite venues.

Coming on stage with a whole new look. When I say new look, I'm of course talking about Jeff Austin. Austin got contacts and lost the glasses. I almost did not recognize him. We can not forget about Ben Kaufmann, Dave Johnston and Adam Aijala. The quartet come all the way from Colorado. I think its safe to say that when they come out east its going to be a great performance!

This was my 4th time seeing Yonder but it was definitely a great experience. The crowd was small and the show felt very personable with a great view from anywhere you were raging!

...meanwhile back in Rhode Island and Massachusetts my brother was selling food in the Phish Lot's to make his money back for the next night of Phish. ***Wish I could follow Phish around***

"TWO HITS AND THE JOINT TURNED BROWN!" sang the crowd!!!

set 1:
Cuckoos, No Expectations, Blue Collar Blues, Pockets, Rag Doll, Dominated Love Slave, Things You're Selling, Brown Mountain lights, Jail Song, Damned If the Right One, East Nashville Easter . Whipping Post > Casualty.

set 2:
On the Run > steep Grades > on the Run , Honestly, Mental Breakdown, Rain Still Falls, Free to Run, Looking Back Over My Shoulder, the Blues my Naughty Sweetie Gives To Me , Dawns Early Light > Snow on the Pines > Robots > Pines > 2 Hits

Encore: Redbird

*Whipping Post was a great Allman Brothers Cover

Shout out to my relix friends!

moe. at Tower Theatre

2010-10-09
moe. - Tower Theatre - Upper Darby, PA.

Well you can't just go to one night of moe. You must take the trip! moe. played their second night just outside Philly in the beautiful Tower Theatre.

Once again My tickets were kind of lame so we walked up to the third row compared to being in the 2nd row at the beacon.

moe. opened the night with Happy Hour Hero setting the mood for the rest of the night followed by Waiting for the Punchline, of course another favorite of mine!

The two new moe. songs, Paper Dragon & Downward Facing Dog were played for a second night in a row. Normally moe. does not play the same songs twice but listening to them again just made them that much better. Since they are new songs moe. is feeling them out making changes everytime.

When they closed the first set with George we were so excited since they were suppose to close the beacon show with George. It was definitely one of the best versions I have ever heard along with The Pit & Okayalright.

Set 1
Happy Hour Hero> Waiting for the Punchline, Captain America, Paper Dragon, Wind it Up> George

Set 2
Not Coming Down> Wormwood> Okayalright, Downward Facing Dog, Puebla> The Pit> 32 Things
