Beatlemania

The Manalapan Recreation Center booked BEATLE MANIA, The Beatles tribute band.

Part of the Rec's Summer Concert Series

The Bands performance is broken down into 4 acts.
Act I - Coming to American
Act II - Growing and Changing
Act III - Psychedella
Act IV - End of An Era

You can hear some of the songs they sing at there sight

The show at first was pretty fun to hear a whole bunch of live Beatles music. However after an hour or so their voices were slowly starting to ruin the songs for us.

The songs I did get to hear were

She Loves You
I Want to Hold Your Hand
I Saw Her Standing There
You Can't Do That
Roll Over Beethoven
Hard Days Night
Can't Buy me Love
Help
Yesterday (scrambled eggs) (Paul solo)
I Feel Fine
In My Life
And Your Bird Can Sing
Eight Day A Week
Day Tripper
St. Peppers Lonely Hearts
Little Help From My Friends
Penny Lane
A Day In The Life

The over all show was okay because we got to throw around a frisbee and a football.

"It's not that there is a bad vibe, there is no vibe" - Steven Conlon

He was right though since it was at the Manalapan rec, It was all older folk in there lawn chairs... the whole time.

Stop by in the office!

Tea Leaf Green stopped in the office last week to perform a little acoustic set for us!

They performed 4 new songs for us off there new album 'Looking West'

Trevor Garrod rocked with his little keys and powerful voice!

Drummer, Scott Rager, recently sprained his foot so TLG had a friend of there's fill in for him. They both played along in the office.

During the interview guitarist Josh Clark serenaded us with the beautiful sounds of his acoustic.

TLG are from San Francisco. The 1st time they came over to New York to perform they never actually hit land! They played on the rocks cruise and circled the island. Eventually they rocked NYC with there sweet california jams.

Just recently they got to play along with there California friends ALO (Animal Liberation Orchestra) on the rocks off cruise! They all had a great time!

Once the performance goes up online I will post it so you can check it out!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ivan & Alyosha stopped in as well
to play 3 songs for us.
Songs:
Easy to Love, Fathers, and one other that escapes my mind.
Ivan and Alyosha are two brothers whom both sing along with there 5 piece band
They are from Seattle, Washington and performed last night , a FREE SHOW @ the Living Room in NYC!!!
"It's All Good." "Yes, it is All Good!"
All Good 2010
The journey to ALLGOOD started with a 6 hour ride, Dollar Store, Liquor Store, and of course every festy's favorite, Wal-Mart. We loaded up with beer, inflatables, and lots of other good stuff.
When we got to Morgantown, WV, we crashed in the Friends Inn. This is where we met "nips" our new friend whom "likes the scene very much."
When we arrived to Marvin's Mountaintop, Masontown, WV we waited on a 3 hour line of cars to get into the festival on this dirt/rock trail. When we finally arrived with our "bonafide vendor" wrist bands we had set up our relix booth and then set up camp.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Set:
Booth Love ~ -> Bridgeless, Made to Measure -> Miss Tinkle's Overture, Walletsworth, It's About That Time, Turn & Dub -> Divisions -> I'm On Fire -> (Bruce sprinsteen instrumental), Divisions

2 - Widespread Panic - During the set break over 200 sky lanterns were lit up and set into the West Virginian sky. It looked as though the crowd created a new pattern of stars in the sky.

When Bassnectar came onto stage, I think most people who are not so much into them would say "A little less bass and more nectar." But the coolest thing is I have never seen so many glow sticks in my entire life then when bassnectar came on stage. Every time they dropped that bass there were literally thousands thrown in the air.

George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic was definitely very disappointing. First off there were about 20+ people on stage. I did not get to see George's funky crazy colored hair and then his, I believe niece came on stage to sing. It was like watch a really bad Lil Kim.

All though I am not a huge fan of "The Dead" I will admit seeing Further Feat. Phil Lesh & Bob Weir was definitly really sick!

Set I
After Midnight -> Estimated Prophet -> Just A Little Light, Tennessee Jed, Must Have Been The Roses, Looks Like Rain, Brown Eyed Women, Big Railroad Blues

Set II
Uncle John’s Band, Celebration -> Sugar Magnolia -> So Many Roads, Colors Of The Rain -> Terrapin Station, Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain, Attics Of My Life, Sunshine Daydream

Encore Break:
Donor Rap, Cumberland Blues, Ripple ~

Over all, All Good festival was just amazing! Further played a real sick set

They came on stage with a strong 1st set of solid songs
It was the 4th time that moe. played Puebla which is awesome and the 6th time they played Billy Goat which is one of my favorite new songs by them. I heard both of them for the 1st time at Summer Camp Music Festival.

The last time moe. played Ugly American was March 18, 1999.
The best part is that the Wednesday after the 4th, moe. played live in Jam On studio on sirius. They played Puebla, Day Dreaming, Haze, Ugly American, Billy Goat. Jonathan Schwarts convinced them to play Ugly American after finding out they played it the 4th. The only thing was that Rob. was dreading it because originally he hated the song for some reason. Personally I think the song is really great. But the words need work because....Rob. doesnt know the words. So while they played he made things up, while lauging. It was great!

***want to hear moe. live at sirius***Download 2010_07_06 - Sirius Studios Jam On

During the song Meat they teases Iron Maiden's The Trooper and Fireworks were lighting up the sky behind us on the beach during George.

It was an overall great show and my 1st time hearing Four, Awesome Gary and of course Ugly American which they pulled out of the 90's...Literally!!! 1999!!!
