The Strokes LNJF

2011-03-30 The Strokes - *Late Night with Jimmy Fallon*
The Strokes performed 'You're So Right" off the 1st album in 5 years called Angels.

I do not have much more to say about The Strokes other then they kinda sucked. The Vocalist did not even enunciate the words of the song so I have no idea what the song is even about. The song even ended so abruptly.

SNOE.DOWN 2011

2011-03-25,26 SNOE.DOWN Winter Music & Sports Festival
Killington & Rutland, Vermont
Nothing like driving to SNOE.DOWN, arriving to Vermont and getting welcomed by a blizzard. It looked like we were driving into a visualizer. On 2 hours of sleep we headed to Killington after staying in our Rutland hotel room. Vermont is beautiful with all the mountains and fresh white powder on the mountain slopes for skiing and snowboarding!

The First band we saw were The London Souls at the K1 Lodge, Mahogany Ridge Room and stuck around for the beginning of the set. Great band and great energy!
Next up on the list was Dangermuffin at Bear Mtn Lodge. We walked in while the were playing Moonscapes, a song often played on Sirius radio. They played a great set and put a lot of engery in the room. Just as they were about to walk of stage we all started yelling "ONE MORE SONG" and they played one more. At the end I walked up to the band and asked for the setlist. He gave it to me and said "Just so you know we didn't follow the list."
What did one muffin say to the next?
DANGER MUFFIN!
The Brew performed back the K1 Lodge where they rocked the room with their big song 'Chance Reaching.' They even covered 'You Sexy Thing' by Hot Chocolate and 'Mad World' by Gary Jules or what most people know is "the song from the movie Donnie Darco."

Set: Light From Below, New Funk> The Price is Right Theme> New Funk, You Sexy Thing, Chance Reaching, No Rest, Head Over Heels, Seen It All, What I want, Poison Stone, Stefon Erkel

Later that night at the Sparten Arena, back in Rutland, Keller Williams open for moe. and thats when the real party started! Keller played great songs like 'Kidney in the Cooler,' 'Freshies,' 'Freaker by the Speaker' and then 'Crazy' by Gnarls Barkley into 'She drives me crazy,' by the Fine Young Cannibals. Al. came out on stage to play along with Keller during this which was awesome! Keller later came out and played and sang with moe. during Okayalright and The Harder they Come.

Set: Roshambo, Tubeular, Third Stone From the Sun, Kidney in a cooler, Freshies, She, Kinky Reggae, One More Friday Night*, Abel, Freeker

Set 2: Haze> Wormwood> Okayalright*, The Harder They Come*, Puebla> Kyle’s Song> George

Encore: Buster

* w/ Keller Williams vox

Opening with 'Stranger then Fiction' was amazing since it was my first time hearing it. 'The Harder they Come' was also a first for me too. The setlist said 'FLO' on it for encore, but they ended up played buster instead. We think its because this kid had a pig hat with wings.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Saturday started out over at Bear Mountain, with Ryan Montbleau Band opening for moe. outside at the bottom of the slopes. Ryan Montbleau was a great choice to start the day. He performed the song '75 and sunny' when it was 25 degree out.
When the weather hit 27 degrees moe. took the stage! They were all very cold but played an awesome long set!
2011-03-26 moe. Bear Mountain - Killington, VT (Day Set)
Set: Akimbo, Threw It All Away, It, Billy Goat, Downward Facing Dog, Happy Hour Hero> Seat Of My Pants
Encore: Crab Eyes
There was such a great view from the stage looking back at the crowd and the mountains with people skiing and boarding down the slopes.
Later, back at the Sparten Arena Lotus opened for moe. Lotus of course was awesome and raging hard with songs like 'Bell Weather' and 'Jump Off.' The guy who does their light was amazing! I think the guy who does moe.lights needs to step in up a bit.
Set 1: Yodelittle> Lazarus, Suck A Lemon> Hector's Pillow> Meat
Set 2: The Road, Blue Jeans Pizza> Sticks and Stones, New York City, Skrunk> Yodelittle>Rebubula
This was an amazing SNOE.DOWN, ending the last night with my 30th show!
The intro in 'Lazarus' was the most amazing thing i have ever heard. It took a while for them to get into play the song because chuck. was having technical difficulties. It made for an amazing build up from al. At the end of the show I got Rob. 'suck a lemon' bass pick!
